A few things to post this time. First of all, K is pissed about Obama winning. Ironically, everyone one else I know that I've talked to voted for him^^;. She's going to be fun that next few days (I feel for anyone who brings it up with her). Also, the younger brother of a friend of mine is in one of her classes. I think I feel a little bad for him but I do find it funny thoughXD.
I read the end of Grand Guignol Orchestra and really Kaori? You make me sad. The story itself had a overall happy ending buuuut the extra story she had in this volume, that took up more then haft of the volume, didn't. WHY? She put in the author note regarding the end of GGO that she's wanting to write happier endings, which makes me happy but doesn't the sad ending to other story counter it? I still really like it though~. I love her series no matter what unfortunately.
Mom and I watched Cabin in the Woods and I really loved it~. I heard really good things about it before hand and now I see why. The twist at the end was so cool.

The monsters let out near the end were awesome. My favorites were the guy with the saw blades in his head, the girl with the toothed mouth for a face, and the giant cobra~.  The fact that the this movie destroys humanity in the end was lovely~!

The Reborn! manga has ended, which makes me so sad:_;. I still need to read the last few chapters but dammit. I just go into this fandom about a year ago (maybe less). Don't end on me;_;. I do really like the mangaka's, Akira Amano, art style so hopefully she/he (not sure) start a new series soon~. Luckily the fandom is still going pretty well right now but this just means it's going to slow down. Look like I might have to go on another fandom hunt...-cries-

My dad was pissed about Obama winning, too. Why did K, being of the feminine persuasion, want the party whose leaders think misogyny is ideal? Economic conservatism is one thing, whether or not I agree with it, but I absolutely can't stand social conservatism.

See, Kaori Yuki wants to write happy endings, but is under a curse that prevents her from writing more than a 1:1 ratio of good to bad at best.

Ha, yeah, I read the Wikipedia page to get the whole plot after that movie came out. I did like how they spun things.

That's too bad about the Reborn! manga ending! ;___; Maybe there will be more of the anime sometime? Or an OVA or something? Or a game?

I don't remember haft of her reasons to be honest and some them seemed stupid to me. I'm sure I'll hear more of it when I see her though later though...
I can understand how it happens (hell, it's happen to me enough times) but it still makes me sad^^;.
Most horror movies nowadays are mediocre, so I was surprisingly happy about this one~! It was a lot of fun to watch^^!
I, among many fans, wish for the anime to continue but that doesn't look very likely right now. I know they have games out for it in Japan, I've seen video of them on YT but the thing that sucks is that their is little to know chance of the anime coming over here and Viz stopped releasing the manga at volume 16. It's on hiatus at the moment and I'm not sure why. I'd have to do research.

Idk, if I were you, I'd either a) declare the time/place you hang out as a No Politics Zone, or b) pop in your headphones and let her drone on, or c) pretend to take notes very seriously like an old-timey journalist so you can bring her reasons back to me and I can flip tables.

It did sound like a good one. I would've been willing to watch it with you around Halloween if I'd been in town (and if the DVD was out then, dunno if it was, and if the headache I had had been magically averted)!

Aw, that's sad. I wonder why Viz stopped releasing the manga? The series seems pretty popular, so you'd think it would be doing well...

I've gotten pretty good at tuning her out...sadly. She does tend to rant a lot. I do listen to her but certain things like thing I tend to tune out, not always on purpose^^;.
Okay, curse theory it is then~!

I think the DVD was~. Mom and I wouldn't mind buying it at some point~.
I'm not sure why but it makes me sad;_;.

Speaking of DVDs, I was wondering what DVDs you usually pick up? Like, how often do you pick up live action series or performances of comedians you like? I'm not trawling for information for seasonal reasons, noooooo.

I would be sad, too! It'd be like DGM suddenly no longer coming out in English. ;___;

Let's see...well we haven't been buying DVD's all that often as of late because of other expenses. When we do pick up DVD's it tends to be horror (shocking, right?), Disney (okay, that's just me but the 7 year in me demands it^^;), comedians (Christopher Titus is my current goal cause I only have 'Love is Evol'), and action varies. Noooo, of course not.
Excatly;_;. I am looking into this other series that's getting a anime in the spring. The manga is called Karneval. I've only read a few summaries on it so far but I have in on my Kindle now. I will be starting to read it soon.

Ninja Assassin was that last one I bought for myself personally. Ones Mom and I picked up together...I can't remember-_-'. It's been awhile. If it's come out in the last 6 months to year then 99% chance we don't have it. You mean Jeff Dunham, right? We have his Controlled Chaos DVD, that's it.
Here's the summary from Wikipedia:

Sounds interesting! ... Although now I have to question the idea of naming any kind of government defense thingy "Circus". I am imagining government guys in black suits and sunglasses and microphones hidden in their ears and shirtcuffs saying, "Yes, we are... going to see the Circus. Yes."
